The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have encouraged the private sector to use insights from the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Investor Map to invest in Ghana’s agriculture and manufacturing sectors for good returns.

Using the UNDP SDG Investor Maps intelligence tool, Pipeline Builder, an intermediary that streamlines the investment “origination” process to drive more capital to SDG-focused SMEs in emerging markets, successfully identified a base value of USD 39 million worth of SME investments in Ghana in the six months to September 2021 under its pilot scheme, with the potential for an additional USD 15.5 million.

Accompanying the Ghana - Japan Investment Seminar held on 13 July 2021, the UNDP TICAD Unit translated the Ghana SDG Investor Map into Japanese to engage the country's private sector on opportunities in Ghana.

UNDP Ghana organised the “Ghana – Japan Investment Seminar: Business Opportunities and SDG Impact Areas” business seminar on 13 July 2021 with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the UNIDO's Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Tokyo.

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) joined the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) SDG Impact, and Global Investor for Sustainable Development (GISD) Alliance, to unveil the "SDG Investment Platform" tool that provides market intelligence on investment opportunities in Ghana and beyond.
