UNDP Nigeria produced a documentary to showcase state and sector specific investment opportunities in the country, based on the Nigeria SDG Investor Map. The documentary highlights the business environment as well as policy and regulatory incentives provided by the government to attract both domestic and international private sector capital.

Investor events bring together investors and enterprises discovered by the Turkey SDG Investor Map to spearhead collaboration and foster potential investments that could advance the SDGs.

Seven impact enterprises - the finalists of the Growth Stage Impact Ventures (GSIV) programme - presented their solutions for promoting the SDGs in Colombia on Thursday, during the pitch event Discovering Enterprises Contributing to the SDGs in Colombia. Margaux Day, policy director at Accountability Counsel pens a poignant article on why it is imperative for businesses and investors to listen to community voices and being accountable to them for their actions, in order to combat “impact washing. She also highlights how the SDG Impact Standards provide organizations with a clear path to integrating sustainable development into their organizational systems, frameworks and practices.

Practical guidance is now available for bond issuers looking to launch bonds that will progress gender equality. UN Women, IFC and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) issued “Bonds to Bridge the Gender Gap: A Practitioner’s Guide to Using Sustainable Debt for Gender Equality” which is the first global guideline for gender responsive sustainable debt. The guidance aligns with the existing ICMA thematic Bond Principles and is aimed at both the public and private markets.
