New market intelligence tool identifies 15 Investment Opportunity Areas guiding the private sector to focus on SDG priority sectors that could benefit from expanded financing options

The SDG Impact Standards were also introduced to the Sri Lankan market to guide investors and enterprises on integrating sustainability and the SDGs into management practices.

The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), today launched a digital market intelligence tool that informs private sector investments in the country. The map directs investors to opportunities linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a view to improve human lives.

UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner announced today the global launch of the SDG Impact Standards Training Course in Japan. The SDG Impact Standards are independent, global management standards that integrate sustainability, the SDGs and managing for impact at the core of business and investment decisions.

Bangkok, July 6, 2022: The Thailand SDG Investor Map (the Map), a market intelligence tool that seeks to direct capital where SDG priorities, Government policy and market opportunity meet, was launched today. It was created by the Securities Exchange Commission of Thailand [SEC] and UNDP Thailand using UNDP SDG Impact’s robust methodology, with the support from Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP) as a collaborative partner and was showcased at a high-level event hosted by policy makers and investors.

UNDP Tanzania is launching a Call for Nominations for the 2022 Growth Stage Impact Ventures (GSIV) programme for Tanzania. The programme aims to identify enterprises that have developed at-scale products and services focusing on the following sectors Food & Agriculture, Renewable Resources and Alternative Energy, Infrastructure, Education and Services and contributing to generate social and environmental impact while achieving commercial success and representing an interesting investment opportunity for African and foreign investors.
